What We Do
We have three main programs at Espaanglisch: English School, Conversation Classes, & our Environmental Program. We also offer support to communities within and around Trujillo as needs arise, such as providing emergency relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, create fun opportunities for language practice and cultural exchange via our Social Interaction Program, and offer Spanish Classes. English School
Learning a second language provides children with an opportunity to understand the world from a totally new point of view, encouraging them to embrace cultural nuances as well as awareness of their own language and culture. In our English School program, we provide classes to students who would otherwise not have access to quality English language education, fostering their growth via fun, interactive classes taught by local & international volunteers.
Conversation Classes
Speaking a language is the key to improving. That’s why we created conversation classes for adults to practice their English skills in a relaxed setting. Most of the participants work in tourism or want to apply for a program where conversational English skills will be beneficial. A key benefit of this program is that participants receive real-time feedback on their English speaking skills and grammar from international volunteers who are either fluent or native English speakers.
Environmental Program
We love to have adventures that take us off the beaten path and allow us to experience Peru and all of the natural wonders that make it so unique. This said, it’s of the utmost importance that we protect the places we explore for many years to come. In our Environmental Program, we provide support to local activists and movements plus offer programming that shares the importance of protecting our environment with the communities we work in.
Social Interaction Program
The purpose of our social interaction events is two-fold: to raise funds for our programs and to give our volunteers the chance to meet new people. We host a wide variety of events such as mountain climbing, beach bonfires, and cycling excursions.
Spanish Classes
We offer a variety of Spanish Classes for volunteers, visitors, and expats alike. Classes are designed to meet each specific students’ needs and abilities.
