Our mission is to provide education to underprivileged communities in Peru, to create opportunities for language and cultural exchange, and to support local initiatives that make a positive impact on our community.
Our vision is to empower individuals and organizations who, through their growth, will positively impact our community & the world.
Since 2005, we’ve been working with local and international volunteers who, through their dedication, have helped to bring our programs to life.

David Mercedes
FOUNDER
David is the founder of Espaanglisch and is an experienced Spanish teacher. He loves the silence and surroundings of nature. He knows the areas where the activities take place intimately and has led many groups on adventures. Also, every picture on the website was taken by David himself!

Sierra Vorsheim
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Sierra is from upstate New York. Guided by a passion for travel and intercultural exchange, she studied Politics and Music at Ithaca College. In addition to her work with Espaanglisch, she is also a freelancer with experience providing support to startups.

ENGLISH ONLINE COORDINATOR
Mario is a philosopher by profession, a teacher by vocation, and a human rights activist. He is committed to improving the quality of teaching in public schools in marginalized communities. Mario uses the nature around him to motivate his students and to inspire his teaching.
